These terms are an agreement between you and [legal entity name] ("we", "us") for the learnyou.me website and mobile apps (the "service"). By using the service you agree to them.
The service
learnyou.me helps you work through books and other material at a steady pace. You can schedule a book to finish by a date, and create courses: reading lists of books, papers, lectures, podcasts and articles suggested by an AI model for a topic you choose.
Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for activity on your account, and you must be at least [13/16] years old to use the service.
Course suggestions
Course reading lists are generated by an AI model. We check books against a library catalogue where we can and mark the ones we could not confirm, but suggestions can still be incomplete or wrong. Check a work before you buy it. We do not sell or host the material itself; you get it from libraries, bookshops, publishers or the free sources listed.
Use the course feature for genuine study topics. Don't use it to try to make the service produce harmful content or to get around its limits.
Prices and payment
- Book schedules are free, and every account includes one free course.
- A single course costs $2.99. Regenerating a course you already have is free, within fair-use limits.
- A subscription costs $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year and includes up to [10] new courses a month, plus subscriber features as they become available.
Prices are in US dollars and may change; we will tell you before a change affects a subscription you already have. Subscriptions are bought and managed on the web through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the billing portal, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Single courses bought in the mobile apps are purchased through Apple or Google and are subject to their terms.
[Refund policy: e.g. "If a course fails to generate, the charge is returned automatically. Other refund requests: contact [support email]." For in-app purchases, refunds are handled by Apple or Google.]
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no attempts to access other people's data, disrupt or overload the service, reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows, or use it to break the law.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you put into the service, such as your course topics and reading history. You give us permission to store and process it to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes and ending the service
We may update the service and these terms. If a change to the terms is significant, we will tell you before it takes effect. You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. [Have counsel review this section and add governing law and dispute resolution: [jurisdiction].]
